TECHNICAL DETAILS

CNC Milling:
what to know.

With our CNC router/milling setup we focus on prototyping, custom parts, mold master models and low-volume production, working in tested materials from wood and sheet stock to engineering plastics, aluminium, brass and copper.

Machine type
CNC router / mill
Repeatability
±0.05 mm (system reference)
Focus
Prototypes and low-volume custom work
Material supply
We can source the material, or you can send your own
Files
STEP, DXF and dimensioned technical drawings
Lead time
Per project; given after technical review

Tested materials

  • Solid wood
  • MDF
  • Plywood
  • Acrylic
  • Engineering plastics
  • Aluminium
  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Carbon-fibre composites

Typical applications

  • Functional prototypes
  • CNC-machined master models and gauges
  • Mold and fixture components
  • Brackets and jigs
  • Relief surfaces
  • Signs and decorative panels
  • Parts supporting 3D printing and casting projects
  • ±0.05 mm is the system's repeatability reference, not the finished-part tolerance. Part tolerance is set per project based on material, geometry, tooling, fixturing and measurement method.
  • Natural stone, hard minerals, steel and stainless steel have not been tested yet and are not part of our routine service.
  • Operations: profile cutting, pockets and slots, surface shaping and engraving. Threading, precision holes and 3D surfacing are confirmed case by case.
  • Finishing: deburring, sanding, polishing, paint/varnish. Special finishes such as anodising can be arranged through partners.

FOR YOUR PROJECT

What should we clarify before quoting?

Share the model and dimensions

Start with CAD data, a drawing or reference-part information. Identify critical dimensions and important surfaces.

Review material and machinability

Material, geometry and size affect the manufacturing approach. Describe the intended material and any existing blank; machining feasibility is reviewed beforehand.

Explain how the part works

Describe its relationship to other components, quantity and target date. Machining scope and delivery expectations are defined around the project.

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Frequently asked questions.

Can I start a CNC request with a drawing?

A drawing or reference image can be a starting point. Design work may be needed if dimensions or geometry are unclear. Model requirements are defined before quoting.

What are your material and tolerance limits?

Suitability is reviewed according to material, geometry, critical dimensions and machining scope. Share your project; a specific tolerance or material suitability is not promised before review.

Which materials can you CNC machine?

We have tested wood and sheet materials, acrylic and engineering plastics, aluminium, brass, copper and carbon-fibre composites. Final suitability depends on the exact material, geometry and machining conditions.

Is ±0.05 mm the part tolerance for every dimension?

No. ±0.05 mm is the system's repeatability reference; the final part tolerance is set separately based on material, tooling, fixturing and machining method.

Do you take single prototype orders?

Prototyping and low-volume work are our CNC priority. Lead time and price are quoted after reviewing size, quantity, material and process complexity.
